UPDATE : SAMSUNG HAS NAMED ITS S11 SERIES AS S20 UPON RELEASE
After a somewhat lackluster success of the Samsung Galaxy S10 Series, Samsung is betting the future on its S11 (Now called the S20) Series of phones. Samsung
S11, dubbed "Picasso" behind the scenes, has been rumoured to launch
on February 18th, 2020. Samsung is one of the companies with the steadiest
growth has always put forth exciting line-ups in their projects and inventions.
And it is no different this time around. The company's flagships have already
made the news with the many unveiled secrets and the other half being the
speculations.
Here are some of the rumoured traits of
the much-awaited Samsung flagships and s10 upgrade for the first quarter
of 2020:
Samsung Galaxy S11 with
three different variants
The Samsung s11 line is set to release
3 different models, with variations that include- the storage capacity and
their size.
The different models are as follows:
·
Samsung Galaxy S11e: Samsung galaxy
S11e is the base model of the flagship, with a screen size of 6.2 - 6.4 inches.
·
Samsung Galaxy S11: The mid-ranged
among the three supposedly has a 6.7-inch screen.
·
Samsung Galaxy s 11+: Galaxy S11+ has
a 6.9-inch screen
Storage
Capacity
The company seems to be sticking to
their curved screen feature to their flagships. They are starting with an
internal base storage of 128 GB and which will go up to a whopping 1 Terabyte
of internal storage. Consumers can expand it even more with the included micro
SD card slot. This flagship seems to have a slimmer body than ever before.
Samsung Galaxy S11
Processors
Samsung unveiled the Exynos 9820
octa-core processor. An in-house processor which is usually used in their phones
manufactured in the United States. The latest upgrade of the Qualcomm
snapdragon chips - Snapdragon 865 which are likely to be put to use in phones
manufactured outside the United States for the upcoming launch.
Snapdragon, being an overall stronger
one between the two, is believable to get more purchase orders. But Exynos does
not fall far behind on the list of features list.
Regardless of the fact, Samsung plans
on discounting Exynos soon. So Samsung Galaxy 11 might be the last line with
Exynos processors.
Samsung Galaxy S11 Battery
Upgrade
It is a given that a new line of
flagships will have better battery capacity than its predecessors, but there
seems to be a notable increase this time around. From 4100 mAh (Samsung s10 +),
the Samsung S11 series is rumoured to have the capacity somewhere between 4300
mAh to 5000 mAh. If this little feature turns out to be true, the S11 series
once more will take the top spot in the 'highest battery life' charts. Check
out the galaxy refurbished phones.
Samsung Galaxy S11 5g
Connectivity
2020 seems to have a promising start to
the many long-held wishes of the 21st century. Even though 5g currently does
not have a large consumer rate, Samsung is set out to make future proof
variants with 5g connectivity spearheading the innovations. The rumoured of
Samsung Galaxy s11 series having 5g connectivity, if turned true, will open the
doors for high-speed internet and many more ventures, and we are here for it.
Samsung Galaxy S11 with
Android 10
Android developers have made it their
priority to increase security and allow better control to their users. All the
while, ensuring easy accessibility and looking into new ways to multitask.
With the software supporting 5g
connectivity, it ensures suitable supporting platforms that enhance the user
experience.
Some of the features include - user
control over location data, preventing device tracking, dynamic depth for
images, more control over audio capture, and so on.
Samsung Galaxy S11 Camera
Samsung has always offered first-class
camera quality, and there has been no turning back. Taking their steady steps
further, the S11 series is speculated to have a 108-megapixel main camera, 13
MP ultrawide, 8MP telephoto camera with new high-end sensors.
All of the above, along with Android's
promises of high dynamic range, is a cherry on top. Samsung is also working on
new sensors to get better pictures in low lighting.
It exports 16MP low light photos and 64
MP when captured inappropriate lighting.
There have been talks about the
flagship using punch-hole cameras again and trying to reduce the bezel.
Samsung Galaxy S11 Display
The displays have certainly upped since
the S10 series, with 6.4 being the largest. The Samsung flagship for the start
of 2020 has 6.4 inches as the base size - and the largest being 6.9 inches.
The company has decidedly ditched the
old flat screen for their flagship and opted for curved edged display they
introduced in their S10 series.
The displays are longer and have a
larger area for their ultrasonic fingerprint sensors with upgrades since S10.
Samsung has one of the best colours for their screens in the market. With the
high demand for high resolution, and the flagship's efforts to support hdr 10+,
Samsung is likely to reach new heights.
The display promises to be smoother and
of finer quality. With the refresh, screen rates hiked to 120 Hz. Many other
companies, like Oneplus and Razer, already offer a high refresh rate. It would
be nice to see high refresh rate displays from Samsung as it would sit well
with Samsung's one of a kind display panel.
Samsung Galaxy S11 with no
Headphone Jack
Samsung removing their headphone jack
allows them to utilize the space to make the batteries bigger, which in turn
means longer battery life. Samsung was one of the last companies to offer
headphones but seems to have jumped on the bandwagon of going wireless with
their headphone options. The company is offering Samsung Buds - which provides
a truly wireless experience as it connects through Bluetooth. This new
development might do good to the company as Samsung as always developed
exceptional audio gear.

of the Galaxy Note series - usually in the last quarter of the year, the
company has planned to release foldable phones, and the market for the said
project is on a boom.
